In Photos: August’s Full Sturgeon Moon Rises In Rare Double Display

The second full moon of summer in the Northern Hemisphere — the sturgeon moon — performed a rare trick of rising into twilight skies twice in successive nights this weekend. It appeared in the southeast just as Saturn was rising alongside it in the east, and traced a low arc across the southern sky as seen from the Northern Hemisphere.
