The interim government of Bangladesh has announced plans to construct a land-based liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal to ensure a consistent and adequate gas supply to the country’s industrial sectors.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, revealed this development during a press briefing in Doha. He noted that numerous entrepreneurs have expressed concerns about the inability to establish or expand factories due to insufficient gas availability. In response, the government aims to expedite the establishment of the LNG terminal to facilitate the importation of sufficient gas supplies.
