The Federal Reserve will decide Wednesday whether or not to lower interest rates this month, and though it’s highly unlikely the meeting will produce the rate cuts President Donald Trump has aggressively pushed for, it will reveal how the U.S.’ top monetary policymakers are approaching the U.S. economy as tariffs play out.
